Words to shoot by hosted another open entry this month. The word was PLACE, to be interpreted any way one wishes. Two weeks and many photos later, I decided to submit these polaroids.

I am looking forward to the reveal of the featured photos! You can keep an eye on out here to see.
How would you have interpreted place?

my polaroid eye

I like what she said here about thinking that photographs would look better when taken with a Polaroid. The gentle soft focus and unpredictable surprise of colors and exposure is so much fun. I have just joined this polaroid culture and I like looking at the world with a new point of view. Now, I am not only seeing things with my photographic eye, but with my Polaroid eye.

And the pure joy I feel when the photo turns out as I imagined, I love this.

Which is not always the case by the way. So far, it has been a bit of a love/hate relationship – but when it works, oh, it is wonderful. My Polaroid camera(s) and I are just still getting to know each other.

twelve project - W I S H

This year I am going to participate in this photography project based on a monthly word or theme. I had so much fun with this during the open entries on another favorite blog, Words to Shoot By, that I am delighted to have found this one that I can participate in each month.

So here it goes!

The theme for January is: Wish- Hold your breath, dream big, look forward, with open arms, take a leap…
January Colour Inspiration: violet, white

You can also check out all the photos entered by other photographers here on Flickr.

one foot, two foot, red toes, purple toes

Here is a little shout out to sisters. The foot on the right belongs to me, the foot on the left belongs to my sister. so different, yet so much the same.  This study says sisters help make people more balanced. I know mine does...

in twenty ten

here is a quick look at 2010 through my lens ~ so grateful for a wonderful year full of smiles and sunshine.

our travels included Isla Mujeres, home to Milwaukee for K&S's wedding, a trip to Ely, MN, a mountain weekend in Dunton Hot Springs, Hilton Head island with my family, and Ogden, Utah for the holidays. Plus many great summer and winter days here in the Aspen Valley – all spent with good friends and loved ones.

I can't wait to see what will 2011 will bring!?!
